About

Rob

Rob has 20 years experience of senior leadership in primary education, including over 10 years as a Headteacher. All of Rob’s schools are in challenging contexts, serving disadvantaged communities.

Rob’s schools are rapidly improving, with Foxfield Primary School being one of only 5 schools nationally to move from an Ofsted category of ‘Inadequate’ to ‘Outstanding’ in just four terms. His philosophy for leading learning is rooted in high quality curriculum provision which connects learning experiences with the wider world, the arts and problem solving.

Rob has served as a local and national leader in education, Rob supported schools in challenging circumstances including those in special measures. He is passionate about school-to-school support and has developed a range of tools to strengthen the leadership of teaching and learning. Rob also works with Osiris Educational delivering workshops and keynote speeches about curriculum provision and deep learning.

Rob is a regular blogger and tweeter and is very keen to share ideas and resources to support school improvement.  He is currently working with the Teaching Schools Council as part of the review of pedagogy in primary education.

Most recently, Rob has established a partnership of schools called the ‘Inspire Partnership’. They offer a range of professional development programmes, including senior leadership development, peer review and training for newly qualified teachers. Rob is keen to support school partnerships in establishing their vision for system led leadership, including meeting the challenges of shifting tectonic plates as our education structures evolve.
