Born in Nigeria and raised in various countries, I have lived in Zimbabwe, and the USA before settling in the UK in 1988. I began playing basketball at the age of 14 with the famed Brixton Topcats. I have represented England and Great Britain on the international stage in Basketball and started teaching in 2001 and answered the vocation of working with young people especially in inner London. I have been educating, inspiring young people for over twenty years. I have spoken all over the world empowering students and teachers to step into their manifest destiny. My belief is simple “you don’t lose until you quit” As one of the few BAME secondary headteachers in Britain, I have an insight into the issues that prevent BAME teachers from breaking through the glass ceiling in education. I am well-respected keynote speaker and conference facilitator who combines humour with, life experience and research to deliver impactful messages to his audiences. I have been a facilitator on the DFE Diversity and Equality program with a focus of getting more BAME teachers into leadership positions. I have worked for the high achieving Harris and ARK Federations of school as a senior leader. I have also been a systems leader with the Academies enterprise trust – the largest multi academy Trust in the UK and currently lead Woodcote High School as well as supporting other Academies across the UK as a systems leader. I have sat on numerous department of education planning groups and am heavily involved in my spare time with the voluntary sector in London
