Naomi is an Education Consultant and Coach. She was an English and Media teacher for 15 years before taking the plunge into setting up her own business.
Her Consultancy, ‘Education Connected’, is founded on the value that we are better and possibilities multiply if we make imaginative connections. She is driven to build partnerships which improve careers education and outcomes for young people. At the heart of good careers education is ‘personalisation’: it’s essential that students spend time exploring their strengths and values in order to make good decisions which will build a fulfilling life.
With this in mind, Naomi offers individual coaching and coaching workshops for students. She aims to support students in overcoming their self-doubt and supporting them in amplifying their values, purpose and strength.
In addition, Naomi facilitates connections between educators/students and employers, most recently in projects with the BBC and Penguin Random House. Students have encounters with employers in the context of real projects where they make a valued contribution.
Naomi is the editor of the #teacher5aday Journal and Handbook which guides teachers to take greater care of themselves. The Second Edition of the book is due for publication in July 2017.
She is also a Regional Leader for the #WomenEd network.
