About

Rob

Rob leads the Maximising the Impact of Teaching Assistants (MITA) school improvement and CPD programme, which has been accessed by over 500 schools. He has directed large-scale studies of the educational experiences of pupils with SEND in primary and secondary settings, and prior to that, worked on the ground-breaking Deployment and Impact of Support Staff project.

Rob has written extensively on the use and impact of teaching assistants and produced many resources to support the process of review, implementation and evaluation. He is currently leading an Education Endowment Foundation-funded trial to test the MITA approach. He is also a co-convener of #UKEdResChat: a weekly Twitter forum for producers and users of educational research.
